Trento Filmfest honors ‘Beloved’

‘Beloved’, a documentary film by Yasser Talebi, has been honored at the 67th Trento International Film Festival in Italy.

‘Beloved’ attended the competition section of the Italian film event and succeeded to receive the jury special mention and a UNESCO honorable mention from among a total of 26 other titles.

‘Beloved’ is the story of a kind and loving mother who is brave and strong enough to tackle the hardship of rough years of her life but never leaves her beloved. Despite having a tough lifestyle, she is trying to make it poetic. 

Some of the noteworthy international presence of ‘Beloved’ includes 2018 Int’l Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, 16th Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the US, 69th Berlin Int’l Film Festival in Germany, 37th Fajr Film Festival in Iran, and the 38th Int’l Istanbul Film Festival.

Recently, the doc took part at the 26th Hot Docs Canadian Int’l Documentary Festival where it grabbed Audience Award for Best Documentary.

Founded in 1952, the Trento is the oldest international film festival dedicated to the mountains, adventure and exploration.

The 67th Trento International Film Festival was held on April 27-May 5, 2019.
